QueerSpace celebrated its 12th Birthday on Saturday 6th March with a special InSpace Birthday Party. Over birthday cake, nibbles and wine, we looked back at 12 years of events, both social and activist, and heard from Stephen Birkett (writer and LGBT activist) and Ruth McCarthy (LASI board member and director of the OUTBURST queer arts festival). QueerSpace was delighted to surprise Stephen and Ruth by naming them our Queers of the Year for 2010! Thanks to everyone who joined us and helped make the 12th birthday event so special.
