Belfast Pride 2003 - so far!

Belfast Pride 2003 was celebrated between Saturday 26th July and Saturday 2nd August, with a wide range of events to suit all tastes - a lesbian literary night, homophobic violence report launch, QueerSpace's fantastic community pub quiz, not to mention the triumphant Parade through the city centre followed by the Party in the Square.

Below is some information about the visit of the London Gay Men's Chorus to Belfast in June as a fundraiser for Pride.

With so many events to choose from, we've divided the photos into sections.

NTL Studio Waterfront Hall Belfast

Fundraiser for Belfast Pride 2003

A packed NTL Studio at the Waterfront Hall was the venue for a fantastic evening of entertainment from the acclaimed London Gay Men's Chorus - all in aid of Belfast Pride 2003.

As promised, love was the name of the game as the Chorus treated the audience to their latest show - Tying the Knot - "an evening of musical romance and love, from flirting and first love, to life-long commitment or heartbreak", with pieces by Sondheim and Porter, and from the shows Moulin Rouge and Rent. The performance was a visual treat too, involving feather fans, chairs and military helmets!

The concert was British Sign Language interpreted for sign language users.

The London Gay Men's Chorus' tour continues - take a look at their website for more details.
